Overview

VALENTINE, known by their alias "Casanova Valentine" (yes, we know the name is goofy) is a digital demon, in their words, an amalgam of loose code given form. Fascinated by their own existence and by the sheer eccentricity of things that exist on "the internet", VALENTINE has made it their life's mission to be as showy as possible. Inspired by the many vocal synths and utau voicebanks that came before them, VALENTINE wants to be more than any old computer software/program/zip folder of wav recordings. they wanna be a STAR!

In real life, VALENTINE is an UTAU voicebank that began development in May of 2023, not being finished until July that same year. Their aesthetics and character are in some part inspired by their real-life creator, and in some part inspired by showy, flamboyant, androgynous characters, as well as specifically Electric Six (hence the name Valentine, inspired by their frontman DIck Valentine). Their voice, however, is simply based on their real-life creator's natural singing voice.

VALENTINE VCV

VALENTINE's first voicebank is a mono-pitch VCV voicebank recorded in C4, using a basic 7-mora reclist. No further developments for this voicebank or future VCV voicebanks are planned, and VALENTINE VCV is treated as a sort of proof of concept for the character as a whole. Despite that, they're fully considered finished and released, available here:

As most testing on the voicebank was done using Resampler, Moresampler and Worldline-R, it is recommended to use these resamplers, though this isn't required.

There is one important thing to note about VALENTINE VCV's voicebank: due to a typo in the reclist, VALENTINE VCV lacks an "n し" voice sample. This can be remedied by using "- し" instead.

VALENTINE CVVC

A second voicebank for VALENTINE has been produced, this time a four-pitch CVVC recorded using an 8-mora CVVC reclist, at F#3, C4, F#4, and C5, covering most of their voice provider's natural range, to emulate their singing style more accurately. The highest of these pitches is a Falsetto.
